A cannabis farm worth £100,000 has been found inside a Birmingham flat.
Police stumbled across the drugs den in Erdington whilst investigating a burglary.
Inside the flat in Stockland Green they found 100 cannabis plants in several rooms of the house, as well as the equipment needed to cultivate them.
A teenager who was inside the property was arrested and is being questioned.
Officers were called to the flat in Streetly Road at 2.30am today (Sunday, March 21) to reports of a window being smashed.
With the help of the landlord, they went into the flat and found it was being used to grow cannabis.
An 18-year-old man was found inside the home and was arrested on suspicion of burglarly and of cultivating cannabis.
A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: “Officers were called to Streetly Road, Stockland Green at 2.30am today (21 March) following a report a window at a property had been smashed.
“Once inside the property, officers located around 100 cannabis plants and an 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and burglary.”
West Midlands Police’s Force Response unit also tweeted details of th1e incident.
They posted: “We attended reports of damage to windows of a flat in the Erdington area and, with help of the landlord, property entered and searched, someone’s been busy!
