PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- Legal medical marijuana may be a business opportunity, but rules and regulations must be written rapidly.
South Dakota Retailers Association Executive Director Nathan Sanderson says the passage of “IM26” last November sent one clear message.
Sanderson says the initiative is not clear in how that marketplace will work starting July first.
Sanderson says it will be difficult for a business to start up with the lack of structure.
Legislators had attempted to delay the start of medical marijuana until January first but were unable to reach a compromise.
