As many Vermonters anxiously await the start of retail cannabis sales in October 2022, the state’s new Cannabis Control Board will be available for questions at an eventthis week.

Cannabis Control Board Commissioner Kyle Harris and members of the board’s 14-member advisory committee will participate in a free informational session at Leaning Barn VT Hemp Co. in Bristol on July 23. The event is hosted by Vermont Cannabis Organization, a group of industry advocates and professionals.

Harris was appointed to the board in late March, along with Julie Hulburd and James Pepper, to issue licenses for growing, processing, testing and selling cannabis for recreational use. The board has been working ever since to develop a regulatory system for commercial cannabis growers, wholesalers and retailers before next October.
