A man has been arrested after police discovered a cannabis factory at a property in Coventry.
At around 11am yesterday (October 23) West Midlands Police officers went to a property on Heath Road following reports a cannabis set up had been created inside.
When they got there a man fled through a back door and jumped over a wall.
After a short foot chase, officers arrested the 26-year-old on suspicion of producing a controlled drug. He remains in police custody.
Nearly 200 cannabis plants were found inside the property.
A police spokesman said: “We visited Heath Road, Coventry shortly before 11am today (23 October) following reports of a cannabis factory inside a property.
“On arrival, a man ran out the back door and jumped over a wall to escape from us.
“Following a short foot chase, a 26-year-old was arrested on suspicion of producing a controlled drug.
“The property was searched and nearly 200 cannabis plants were discovered.
“He remains in police custody as our investigations…
