AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Texas Original Compassionate Cultivation (TOCC), Texas’ leading medical cannabis provider, announced today the expansion of its product line to include Texas-inspired agave lime-flavored lozenges. Easy-to-consume and of various strengths, the lozenges provide dosages on par with other TOCC products, reduce a patient’s carrying oil intake and mitigate dexterity challenges caused by traditional droppers.
TOCC’s lozenges address current limitations of the Texas Compassionate Use Program (CUP). The CUP caps a product’s legal THC limit at .5% by weight, but does not restrict the amount an individual can consume. Patients prescribed high doses of THC must ingest more tincture to reach the correct dose, but struggle with gastrointestinal issues from the excess carrying oil. TOCC’s new agave lime lozenges offer an alternative to tinctures. Patients can seek refuge with lozenges, an easy-to-digest option for higher-THC dosages that delivers the same amount of active pharmaceutical ingredient.

TOCC’s agave lime lozenges will join the recently released 0:1 tincture in the company’s diverse, high-quality medical cannabis product line and follows the passage of House Bill 1535, which increased the permitted amount of THC in medical cannabis products to 1 percent by weight, effective Sept. 1, 2021.
