MINDEN — The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office arrested three on drug charges after a large amount of marijuana, concentrated THC, and cash was discovered following a traffic stop on Highway 395.
On Thursday morning, Oct. 22, 2020, at approximately 2:30 am, Deputies were patrolling Highway 395 in Minden when they stopped a motor vehicle for a speeding violation.
Deputies contacted the three male occupants of the vehicle, two adults and one minor, and smelled the strong odor of marijuana emitting from the interior of the vehicle, said Douglas County Undersheriff Ron Elges.
They subsequently conducted a field narcotics investigation, which resulted in locating and recovering approximately 8 pounds of marijuana, 627 grams of concentrated THC, just under $2,000 in US Currency and a Glock-19 handgun, said Elges.
