Gros Islet police have charged three residents of the community for possession of firearm, ammunition and cultivation of marijuana.
Those charged include a woman.
According to reports, police seized over 1000 grown marijuana plants and a shotgun.
The police also charged the trio with intent to supply controlled drugs and possession of controlled drugs.
Law enforcement officials told St Lucia Times that it followed an operation conducted in the area of Vieux Sucre in the wee hours of Tuesday morning, during which a search warrant was executed on the home of Ignatius Isidore also known as ‘Jackie’.
According to the law enforcement officials the persons arrested and charged were Isidore, Charmaine Lionel, and Darnith Lionel, all of Vieux Sucre.
Officers also executed a search warrant on a home in Monchy during which a male individual was arrested for the offence of robbery.
The robbery is alleged to have occurred last month when a La Clery bus driver was relieved of valuables at gun point.
