A cannabis farm containing more than £1 million-worth of plants has been discovered in a disused nightclub in Coventry.

Around 1,000 plants were unearthed inside the three-storey property on Thursday after officers smashed through several reinforced doors to gain access, the National Crime Agency (NCA) said.

The illegal forest was found along with £150,000-worth of “sophisticated” planting, growing and irrigation equipment.
