American rapper Post Malone was denied entry from an upmarket Perth venue on Saturday night due to his tattoos.

As reported by The West Australian, Post Malone was rejected by QT Perth’s rooftop bar on Murray St in the CBD.

“They turned me away for my tattoos … I’ve never really experienced anything like that,” the rapper said.

There is a sign outside the rooftop bar outlining its dress code, which prohibits “face, neck, and offensive tattoos”, according to the newspaper.

Perth QT was contacted for comment.

Following his rejection from the bar, the 27-year-old went to 18 Knots rooftop bar inside DoubleTree by Hilton and was allowed inside.

Post Malone has multiple tattoos on his neck and body, including the words “stay away” and “always tired” on his face.

Speaking to The West Australian, a customer at 18 Knots said someone as famous as Post Malone should have been let into QT’s bar.

“I feel like someone of his status should be let in,” he said.

“Face tattoos on an ordinary person doing a nine-to-five might be a bit much, but I feel like Post Malone should get a pass with his face tattoos,” said Lachlan.
