A fire and emergency crew member said something inside has been detected, and crews are working to disperse whatever it is.
“Upon investigation, we could smell gas, so we’ve taken readings and ascertained that it was serious enough,” station officer Ryan Bothma told Newshub.
“We’re currently undertaking ventilation and monitoring.”
Fire crews can be seen carrying electric industrial fans inside the building.
Five fire and emergency appliances are at the scene, including a hazmat appliance.
