Woodstock police are warning the public to take care when storing edible cannabis products in their homes after a child was rushed to hospital Tuesday.

Officers and Oxford County paramedics responded to a Woodstock home after a young child ate a number of cannabis edibles that resembled candies. The child was treated at hospital and release.
Police investigating vehicle theft
Woodstock police are looking for potential suspects after a pickup truck was reportedly stolen – and recovered – Tuesday night.
Woodstock officers were called at approximately 10:45 p.m. after a green 1995 Chevrolet Silverado was taken from the rear parking lot of a business in the area of Dundas and Young streets. About 30 minutes later, officers found the vehicle parked at the Via train station on Hunter Street.
A number of items were reported stolen from the truck, including a Snap-on socket set, two jackets and the vehicle’s ownership and insurance slips.
