A pair of young girls have been arrested and charged after they allegedly attacked a woman more than twice their age.
South Australia Police say the 24-year-old woman was attacked from behind in front of the Adelaide Railway Station about 8.30pm on Thursday night.
The woman had been walking along North Terrace when she was pulled to the ground.
She was allegedly punched and kicked by her attackers.
Officers had been driving along the street at the time and witnessed the alleged assault.
The girls ran from the scene but were found a short time late by police.
Following a quick chase, the girls aged 10 and 11 were arrested.
They were both charged with aggravated assault and aggravated affray.
The 11-year-old is due to face the Adelaide Youth Court on Friday.
The 10-year-old was given bail and will face the same court on August 10.
Police said the victim did not require medical treatment as a result of the attack.
