Kalinga police have arrested two minors for transporting marijuana in Lubuagan on Sunday, January 15.
Police Regional Office-Cordillera director Brig. Gen. Mafelino Bazar said that the suspects are residents of Tabuk City. Both were nabbed by police for disobeying policemen and evading a checkpoint in Barangay Dangoy.
During the arrest, authorities discovered a semi-tubular form of dried marijuana leaves and stalks weighing more or less than 570 grams with a standard drug price of P68,400.
The Suspects and the confiscated evidence were taken to the Kalinga police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit for documentation and proper disposition. The suspects are facing charges for the violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
