Atlanta councilmember cited for marijuana possession, suspended registrationPosted by On

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – An Atlanta city council member is facing citations for marijuana possession and a suspended registration.

Atlanta police say Antonio Lewis was pulled over and cited during the traffic stop Feb. 2, 2024.

A police report shows he had four grams of marijuana on him.

The City of Atlanta decriminalized marijuana possession in 2017. Now, if you’re caught with an ounce or less, you won’t get jail time. You’ll just get a $75 fine.

We’ve reached out to councilman Lewis for comment but have not yet heard back.
