The street whose name is synonymous with debauchery, excess and operating on the edge of what’s legal is going to be forced to have a bit more restraint.
With crowds on Bourbon Street inching back to pre-pandemic levels, the vendors of everything from booze to balloons to marijuana products have also descended on the famous tourist strip. Now, business owners and nearby residents are complaining about an uptick in unpermitted street activities, and law enforcement and other city officials are preparing to act.
