The Caribbean Development Bank is projecting economic growth of 5.7 per cent for the Caribbean this year.
The growth is dependent on the continued increase in tourist arrivals and investments in the energy sector.
They are subject to certain risks related to the economic performance of advanced economies, all of which are predicted to register lower growth than last year.
