Cops find £750,000 of cannabis after drugs bust on Scots hotelPosted by On

A drugs bust on a Scots hotel has led cops to finding more than three-quarters of a million pounds worth of cannabis.

Responding to a tip-off officers searched the Highlander Hotel on West Church Street in Buckie, Moray on Sunday night.

They found cannabis with an estimated street value of £753,000 stashed away.

Forensics officers were seen going into the building in white suits with police tape cordoning off the area.

Two men, aged 27 and 34, have been arrested and charged in connection with drug supply offences and are due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court today.

Detective Sergeant Scott McKay, of Aberdeen CID, said local ‘intelligence’ had led to the bust.

He said: “This enforcement action was carried out after receiving intelligence of a cannabis cultivation in the area and resulted in a significant seizure of the drug.
