Cops seize compressed marijuana worth $800KPosted by On


An estimated $800,000 in marijuana was seized Saturday night.

The discovery was 48 blocks of compressed marijuana which was found in a white Nissan AD wagon, amounting to 28 kilogrammes.

A 46-year-old man has been held in connection with the incident.

According to police reports, officers of the South Western Division Task Force were on mobile patrol along the Delhi Road Extension of the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway when they received information of a vehicle conveying narcotics from the Cedros District and proceeding along the said Delhi Road Extension.

The officers intercepted the vehicle and upon searching the car the drugs were found.

The driver, who is said to be from Mayo Road in Williamsville, was arrested as a result of the find.
