Customer called out by restaurateur Themis Chryssidis following negative review of Olive in Adelaide’s CBDPosted by On

A South Australian restaurateur has called out a customer who left a “rubbish” review after dining at his restaurant, in which she described the food as overpriced and the portions as too small.

The review was left for new Mediterranean restaurant Olive, located in Adelaide’s CBD, which was opened in November by Masterchef contestant Callum Hann and dietitian and chef Themis Chryssidis.

Emma, who posted the review on OpenTable, described the food as “overpriced small portions”.

She said the kingfish crudo she ordered was too small and that it “would have been good to have an option of a salad or potatoes to share”.

“There were a handful of olives on the table, but perhaps some bread too would of (sic) been nice. At least then I wouldn’t have been hungry.”

She rated the restaurant two stars out of five.

On Thursday, a day after the review was posted, Chryssidis took to social media, calling out Emma in a lengthy post.

He claimed the customer was informed by staff the food she ordered wouldn’t be enough, but that she “refused to listen”.
