DCI Raids City Toilet, Arrests 4 Linked to Keagan Githua’s Murder Posted by On

Detectives on Tuesday, November 15, carried out an operation in Nairobi CBD in search of suspects behind the murder of Keagan Githua.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) indicated that the operation began at a city-based toilet on River Road, where one suspect was nabbed.

Police stated that the suspect, believed to be part of a criminal gang, helped the sleuths in a manhunt for other suspects in Githurai.

DCI also credited the arrest of the four to the use of technology, given that the suspected gang members had the graduate’s phone.

“They pounced on the first suspect before heading to Githurai, where the rest were arrested, and the deceased’s smartphone recovered.

“This is after a detailed analysis of the gang’s modus operandi, which was conducted by sleuths based at the Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau, who have since established that it operates from Githurai,” the police stated.

Further, the detectives assured that the rest of the gang would be apprehended in another covert operation.

“An operation to arrest more gang members is ongoing in Githurai and other parts of the city as detectives move quickly to deal with the gangs terrorising city residents.

“We continue to appeal to members of the public to provide information regarding criminal gangs anonymously, through our #FichuakwaDCI toll-free line 0800 722 203,” read the statement in part.
