A cannabis dealer was caught when cops smelled the drug inside a car they had stopped in a Stirling street on an unrelated matter.
The class-B drug was found in the car Dylan Love had been driving on Alloa Road on February 6 this year.
Cash, amounting to £870, was also found inside the car and in a pocket of Love’s jacket.
The 25-year-old, of Tullibody, had admitted a charge of supplying the drug on various occasions between February 2 and February 6 this year at Alloa Road, Stirling, and elsewhere.
At Stirling Sheriff Court last week, fiscal depute Rebecca Reid said police had cause to stop a car driven by the accused, its sole occupant, at 9.15pm on February 6.
When they spoke to Love officers could smell cannabis coming from inside the vehicle and he was detained for a search under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Ms Reid said during the search officers recovered some cash within the right pocket of Love’s body warmer.
When the interior of the car was searched various knotted wraps were found containing herbal material as well as cash within a wallet on the passenger seat.
Love was taken to Dunfermline police station where he was interviewed. In the presence of the accused officers opened a mobile phone where messages, dated February 2, were found
Ms Reid also pointed out the wraps, weighing a total of 18.9g, were “presumptively” tested and found to be positive for cannabis.
