EVANSVILLE Ind. (WEVV) — On November 5th the Evansville Police department was dispatched to a person down at the Sunoco gas station at 520 South Barker. Dispatch advised that a caller stated a male was slumped over his wheel in the lot.

While EPD was in route dispatch received multiple calls about the same incident. When officers arrived in the area they saw a vehicle matching the description driving through the parking lot slowly. The officers blocked off the exit and turned on his lights.

When officers tried approaching the car the man started reaching around his center console and officers asked him to stop. Once he stopped an officer asked for his I.D and identified him as Todd Hochstetler. While the officer was speaking to Hochstetler he noticed a plastic corner bag that had white residue,

The officer asked him to step out of the car and when he did the officer began to smell marijuana. The officer talked to Todd about the meth and conducted a search where he found multiple bags filled with methamphetamine and marijuana, a bb gun, a orange and black scale covered in residue and extra sandwich bags.

Hochstetler was transported to the Vanderburgh County Correctional Center and charged with dealing methamphetamine, dealing marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia.
