A burglary call turned into an arrest of a Fairfax County business owner after police say they found marijuana, mushrooms, THC, and several THC-infused packages inside the owner’s shop.

Officers responded to the VaSparx Vape and Tobacco on Cooper Road in the Mount Vernon District for a report of a burglary on the morning of Dec. 5, according to Fairfax County Police Department.

Police said when detectives arrived at the shop, they found large quantities of marijuana, mushrooms, and several items containing THC, including gummies, vapes, honey, and barbeque sauce packets.

“While they were there, they noticed there was a tub, a plastic tub, that looked like it had been tampered with,” Lt. Daniel Spital, of Fairfax County Police, said. “When they looked inside, they discovered these gummies which were not CBD product, but THC product. THC and mushrooms.”
