EVANSVILLE Ind. (WEVV) — An Evansville man, identified as Drake Noble, has been arrested after law enforcement discovered more than a pound of marijuana concealed in a shoebox.
Evansville Police Department officers observed Noble’s car speeding at 50 MPH in a 30 MPH zone and noted he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. Following the stop, officers detected a marijuana odor. Noble denied having marijuana but admitted to carrying two guns.
As officers removed the guns and detained Noble, during a search officers found a shoebox in the back seat. Inside the shoebox, officers found a vacuum-sealed bag containing a green substance weighing 510 grams.
Additionally, three bundles wrapped in tin foil, totaling 123 grams, were discovered. All substances tested positive for THC. Furthermore, a THC cartridge indicating “Total THC: 90.58%” was allegedly found.
The total weight of the substances, as per EPD, amounted to 1.4 pounds.
Noble faces a charge for Dealing Marijuana and is currently held at the Vanderburgh County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
