Rajkot: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Bhavangar has busted a case of marijuana cultivation in Khardi village under Talaja taluka. Based on specific information, the SOG team raided a farm belonging to one Ram Bhuva and found 116 marijuana plants weighing 752kg and valued at Rs 37.64 lakh. The police booked Bhuva under NDPS Act and arrested him.
One more held in bogus certificate scam
Rajkot: The crime branch of Rajkot arrested Paresh Vyas (49) in the bogus degree and certificate scam case. The police had busted this scam in May 2022 and arrested Ketan Joshi, Tanuja Singh, Jitendra Pithadiya, Paras Lakhani and Jayanti Sudani. But Vyas was at large since then. The accused had set up a bogus education board of Delhi in 2011 and given “affiliation” to 54 schools in 14 states and 49 cities.
