Planning & Zoning Creates Guidelines For Marijuana FacilitiesPosted by On

(KTTS News) — Springfield’s Planning and Zoning Committee has come up with some new rules for marijuana facilities.

The decision comes after voters passed Amendment 3 for recreational marijuana.

Planning and Zoning says marijuana facilities in Springfield can’t be located within one-thousand feet of a school, church or daycare.

KY3 says microbusiness dispensaries, which are different than marijuana cultivation facilities, can be within 200 feet of an existing child daycare center or church.

Springfield City Council will hold a public hearing at its January 23 meeting.
