A cannabis farm was discovered at a property in Gateshead as police search for those responsible.
Officers including forensics were seen at The Avenue in Felling at around 5pm on Saturday (March 27) and remained there for some time.
Witnesses claimed police were still there this morning (Sunday, March 28).
Northumbria Police has since confirmed it received information about a cannabis farm at a property on The Avenue on Saturday afternoon.
The following day, officers returned to the address to dismantle the farm with photos from the scene showing officers near a skip outside the property.
An investigation to identify those responsible is underway, the force said.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “On Saturday afternoon we received information about a cannabis farm at a property on The Avenue in Felling.
“Officers have been at the scene yesterday and today to dismantle the farm. Enquiries to identify those responsible are ongoing.”
