Tash Peterson has posted fresh vision of her semi-nude exploits for animals, claiming she was “banned” from a “peaceful” protest in the CBD.
The notorious activist – dubbed “vegan booty” – took to Instagram with vision of the run-in with officers after they asked her to put on a shirt and to leave the Hay Street Mall.
“Don’t let them push you around, stand up for your rights and stand up for non-human animal rights,” she said, posting on social media.
“Police abusing their positions as usual, banning me from peacefully protesting in a public space, because someone complained (apparently that means it’s disorderly when someone complains) and because the average person is apparently offended by a topless female.”
In the video posted on her account Peterson can be seen in the open-air shopping strip in the heart of Perth carrying a sign that reads: “Kangaroos shot and joeys beaten to death for Nike shoes”.
Like a previous protest in Perth’s northern suburbs, the 28-year-old is wearing a kangaroo onesie tied at the waist and is covered in pink paint on her upper body.
When asked by authorities to cover up, she bites back: “I don’t abide to sexist requests. There’s topless men walking around all the time and I don’t think he’d have three male police officers behind him telling him to put a top on.”
It is put to her that she is being disorderly before Peterson refers back to the legislation.
