Violence erupted in Melbourne’s CBD overnight, with a spate of bloody attacks across the city leaving one man dead and several others in hospital.

Emergency services were called to Bourke Street about 5:45am following reports of an assault.
Two men sustained stab wounds and were taken to hospital in a critical condition.
One of the men, who is yet to be formally identified, later died in hospital and Bourke Street remains closed.
The Bourke Street incident was the second stabbing attack of the night, following a brawl outside a nightclub at the intersection of Flinders Lane and King Street.
Two men were found with stabbing injuries following a confrontation about 1:25am.
A 19-year-old man and another unidentified man are fighting for their lives in hospital following the assault.
