SAN JACINTO (CNS) – Two men were arrested when deputies busted an illegal marijuana grow that contained more than a thousand cannabis plants at a San Jacinto home, sheriff’s officials said today.
Deputies served a search warrant at 1:20 p.m. Friday at a residence in the 200 block of La Boca Street, where they found eight rooms that had been
converted to grow marijuana, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities seized 1,286 marijuana plants from the residence and said the home’s electrical meter had been bypassed in order to steal electricity
from Southern California Edison.
Deputies arrested Huihua Xiong, 32, of San Francisco and Huang Jiande, 63, San Gabriel on suspicion of cultivating marijuana, sheriff’s officials
said.
