Wellington.Scoop
Wellington Water today started repairing a bulk watermain fault on the corner of Webb and Taranaki Streets in the CBD. It says there is a broken valve on a water supply main.

The faulty water main supplies drinking water to the southern and eastern areas of Wellington. Wellington Water says it will ensure these areas are supplied using alternate water sources.

“To ensure we have enough water to supply everyone, we’re asking residents to please conserve water where they can.”

At 2.45pm, Wellington Water said that traffic management will be in place for the rest of the week whilst crews repair the faulty valve.

“This urgent work is likely to cause some traffic disruption. We suggest taking alternative routes if possible.”
