3 foreigners nabbed for marijuana in Baguio
BAGUIO CITY – Police arrested three foreign nationals after a search of their house in Barangay Victoria here recently yielded packs of suspected marijuana valued at P11,400.
Suspects were identified as Ephraim Samuel, 23; Jeremiah Ishaya, 21, and Amelia Paixao, 22.
Brig. Gen. Mafelino Bazar, Police Regional Office-Cordillera chief, said the suspects listed as high-value individuals yielded dried marijuana leaves weighing more or less 95 grams.
Markings and inventory of evidence were conducted onsite in the presence of the suspects and witnessed by Prosecutor Philip Cesar R. Castel, Department of Justice representative; Kagawad or Councilor Rosemarie Lachica of Barangay Victoria, and a media representative.
Suspects and evidence are in the custody of the Baguio City Police Station 3 (Pacdal) for documentation and proper disposition.
They face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
