A huge cannabis factory has been shutdown after police raided an address in Wolverhampton.

West Midlands Police said the hidden factory on Merridale Street West, which is in the St Peter’s area of the city, was busted at around 3pm on Friday, October 9.

A spokesman for the force said the crops inside the address would be worth in the region of £122,000 on the streets.

No arrests have been made and police enquiries continue.

Pictures from the scene – which can be viewed above and below – shows the set up was complete with air ducts, specialist lights, power banks and wooden trellis installed to help the plants grow to full height.

The door to the property had also been smashed in during the drugs bust.
