A woman whose life was turned upside down by flash flooding has spoken out about how legal cannabis-based products helped bring her back from the brink of suicide.
Nic Hewitt lost her job as a youth worker as well as her new home after the flash flooding that was brought on by Storm Desmond in December 2015.
The storm devastated the North West, with large parts of Cumbria and northern Lancashire put under water and leaving countless people without homes.
33-year-old Nic had only been in her new home in Carlisle for a month when the storm hit, saying the whole situation put her on “rock bottom”.

Nic had been diagnosed with bipolar type II in her teenage years and borderline personality disorder in her twenties.
